Andaman Sea
The south of Thailand extends vertically for thousands of kilometers in length forming the northern part of the peninsula of Malacca. Washed by the Andaman Sea to the west and the Gulf of Thailand (South China Sea) on the eastern side, this part of the country is detached from the rest of Thailand not only geographically but also historically, socially and culturally. Over the past centuries in fact, most of the 14 provinces that are now suffered a major influence coming from the south and in particular the United Srivijaia that was centered on the Indonesian island of Sumatra. The city of Sri Thammarat Nakhorn was certainly at that time the capital of the area under that domain, and today retains some historical and architectural treasures of great importance. Even today, these ethnic distinctions and customs of different origin and history are reflected in the religious reality of the South, largely focused on an important Muslim minority can not be recorded in the Central and Northern provinces in the minority that becomes ever more like southern Satun, Pattani , Yala and Narathiwat, a clear and overwhelming majority. Here in the South are also different facial features of the population, which denote a darker skin and more pronounced features of the nose is different culinary traditions, festivals, celebrations and traditions of a people in its own right but still proud of his membership in the Kingdom of Thailand. Eye of the foreign visitor, the South of Thailand is synonymous with dream beaches and paradise islands. Some of its sights are the years become one of the most important resorts in the world and have undergone a remarkable expansion and development of facilities. The Andaman Sea is in this sense the protagonist but also some locations on the Gulf of Thailand have emerged into the limelight in recent times. And 'unnecessary and served to remember the island of Phuket where the main focal location for tourism from the west, but once again our desire is to go further and wonders in an effort that leads to the search for new and unexplored islands and other places that are not only noteworthy but also able to demonstrate that the Andaman coast of Thailand is today far from being well known and sufficiently explored. Focus in this sense, our programs and our presentations on the lesser-known spots in the already well-known province of Krabi and even more especially on the southern provinces of Trang and Satun where, within which we are going to discover unimaginable places.
Dates for the trip
The southwest coast of Thailand was affected by the climatic conditions of the Indian Ocean and especially the alternation of the monsoon seasons. Given the low latitude, the southern part of Thailand loses the characteristic of tropical and sub-tropical climate of the rest of the country to take on the characteristics of a true equatorial climate. It is therefore to miss the "cold season" that characterizes the central and northern areas from November to February. The dry period of the year, coinciding with the winter monsoon, and that goes down from China Junnan bringing the good weather between mid-December and the end of April. For the remainder of the year rather resents the influence of the summer monsoon, which is the wet monsoon that originates from the southern part of the Indian sub-continent expiring towards the Bay of Bengal. It 'important to note however that heavier rainfall is concentrated in the months between late August and early December. What May / August is rather an intermediate period, characterized by variable weather and with periodic setbacks. The temperatures are high or very high throughout the year, with particularly high rates of moisture from the middle or end of February until the end of the rainy season. March and April, and in general the months immediately anticipate the arrival of the rains, are by far the warmest, with average temperatures that can reach and exceed 45 degrees. It 'also important to stress such as Phuket, the outermost and exposed to the Indian Ocean between the various locations of this area is perhaps the point where the heavy monsoon rains in September / November are more affected by their negative effect, while the provinces of Krabi and Trang are sheltered from the same island of Phuket.
